Earlier this summer, Toyota dramatically introduced the world to the redesigned 2014 Corolla in an airplane hangar amid strobe lights and acrobatic dancing. Now, Toyota is in the midst of production as the Corolla hits dealership lots this month.
The 2014 Corolla gains aggressive new exterior styling that is chiseled and expressive. This is paired with an upgraded interior made with premium materials that offers even more room than before. And, the Corolla even takes efficiency to the next level.
When you see the 2014 Corolla you immediately notice the new styling. Toyota gave it more athletic proportions with a longer wheelbase, compact overhangs, and tapered front and back ends. This makes the Corolla more dynamic.
Aiming for the highest level of fuel efficiency, Toyota adds a new Corolla LE Eco trim that should gain an EPA estimated highway rating of at least 40 mpg. Making it so efficient are aerodynamic underbody covers, low rolling resistance tires, a 1.8-liter engine with Valvematic technology, and a Continuously Variable Transmission.
