Hurlbert Toyota shows support for military veterans through Hiring Our Heroes campaign

Hiring Our Heroes program

Hurlbert Toyota is proud to help military veterans find employment through the Hiring Our Heros program.

It can be difficult for veterans to find employment when they leave the military. In fact, around 800,000 military veterans are currently jobless, and with more than one million members expected to leave the military over the next five years, the options become fewer and fewer.

This is why Hurlbert Toyota, along with the National Autobmobile Dealers Association, is a proud participant of the Hiring Our Heroes program. Hiring Our Heroes is a nationwide effort to help military veterans and their spouses find meaningful employment.

“We are proud to partner with Hiring Our Heroes and will do our part to help raise awareness of the training and skills that veteran employees contribute to the civilian workforce,” said NADA President Peter Welch. “With our participation in this program, we hope we can help America’s veterans get back to work and reduce the high unemployment rate they are facing.”

Sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the organization works with a vast network of new car and truck dealerships and dealership associations to raise awareness of the training and skills that veteran employees contribute to the civilian workforce. Military veterans offer valuable skill sets including proven leadership skills, a strong work ethic, real-world experience, and the ability to work as a team.

To further show support for our troops, we also honor the Toyota Military Rebate program. Eligible U.S. military personnel can get a $500 rebate toward any new Toyota vehicle when they finance through Toyota Financial Services and us.
