2020 Toyota Highlander | Epping, NH

Toyota is completely redesigning the Highlander for the 2020 model year with new standard features, an improved hybrid system, and fresh styling for the popular three-row SUV.

Under the hood, the 2020 Highlander uses the same standard gas engine, a peppy 295-horsepower 3.5-liter V6. However, the Hybrid trim gets an improved 2.5-liter engine with two electric motors. The 2020 Highlander performance is also updated with a new Multi-Terrain Select system, offering settings for Mud & Sand and Rock & Dirt.

The Toyota Highlander has been known in recent years for providing standard driver-assist features, and that is true for this model year as well. The 2020 Toyota Highlander also adds a standard lane tracing assist and a road sign reading system.

Standard in-cabin connectivity includes a bigger 8-inch touch screen, which increases to a 12.3-inch touch screen in the Platinum trim. Toyota Highlander infotainment now includes Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility, as well as Waze and Amazon Alexa.

When it comes to design, most of the changes were made to the Highlander exterior, which shows off a sportier look with thinner headlights and taillights and a striking accent line.

As of this spring, pricing for the new 2020 Highlander has yet to be announced, but most sources are expecting it to have a similar MSRP to the 2019 Highlander, which starts at $31,350.

The 2020 Highlander is expected to reach dealerships like Hurlbert Toyota at the end of 2019, so keep your eyes peeled for more news.

The new 2019 Toyota Prius is taking the idea of going place to another level. The debut of the 2019 Toyota Prius AWD-e system means that the world’s favorite hybrid vehicle is now capable of delivering better traction on slick roads and can even tackle off-road driving needs with deftness and skill.

The Toyota Prius AWD-e system debuted in November at the L.A. Auto Show, where it was announced that it will be the most fuel-efficient all-wheel-drive passenger var in the United States with an EPA-estimated 52 mpg in the city, 48 mpg on the highway, and 50 mpg combined. AWD-e will use a Toyota-first independent electric, magnet-less rear motor that eliminates the need for a front-to-rear driveshaft — when you need traction for the rear wheels between 0-6 mph and up to 43 mph, it kicks in automatically.

2019 Toyota Prius models equipped with AWD-e will feature distinct foglamps and a new LED accent lamp, and it will be available for the Prius LE and XLE, both of which will feature new two-tone 15-inch alloy wheels. It will offer up to 62.7 cubic feet of cargo space thanks to its 60:40 split rear seatbacks, and Genuine Toyota Accessory cargo crossbars make it the perfect adventure vehicle for biking, snowboarding, or kayaking.

Expect to see the exciting new 2019 Toyota Prius AWD-e system in action at Hurlbert Toyota.

2019 Toyota Avalon

With the crossover market on the rise and young families flocking to small SUVs, large sedans have been taking a hit. In response, Toyota unveiled the completely redesigned Avalon. A recent study showed that owners of the current generation of the Toyota Avalon have a median age of 66, and while age is just a number, automakers are concerned about making their vehicles appealing to all ages and establishing a new consumer base among young professionals.

Toyota is changing all of that with the 2019 Toyota Avalon. The redesign is obvious as soon as you see its lower, wider stance. It also comes with new performance options like a smooth, more powerful V6 engine, an adaptive variable suspension, and four different drive modes. There are even hybrid powertrain options on the lower three trim levels for more fuel-conscious drivers. The range-topping Touring trim offers even more sporty features, up to and including a fifth, more athletic Sport+ drive mode for owners who want an extra thrill.

The Toyota Avalon redesign doesn’t mean Toyota’s forgotten about its older audience, either. The more sporty, attractive 2019 Avalon design is also a way to say thank you to its loyal customers.

The 2019 Toyota Avalon will arrive in dealerships later this spring. To learn more, stop by Hurlbert Toyota or give us a call.

Toyota Supra Spy Shots

Toyota Spy Shots

Enthusiasts everywhere have been chomping at the bit to get their hands on the brand-new, upcoming Toyota Supra, the result of a partnership between Toyota and famed performance brand BMW. However, until now, information has been limited, with only foggy glimpses of camouflaged test cars giving fans and experts alike a closer look at the vehicle. However, recent Toyota Supra spy shots have given enthusiasts their clearest and most comprehensive look at the revived nameplate yet.

A photographer over at AutoBlog managed to nab a shot of the still camouflaged, but much more visible Supra parked at a fueling station. Design elements easily seen in the photos include a clamshell hood with two large air intakes on a smooth, pointed grille. Most of the design is exclusive to the Supra as well, though styling cues have been taken from the Z5. Experts speculate that the hood is hiding a six-cylinder turbocharged engine.

It’s likely that some elements of the Supra’s design as depicted in the Toyota Supra spy shots will be smoothed out and changed before it comes out for the 2019 model year, but this is the latest that we know at the moment.

Make sure you head to Hurlbert Toyota to get your hands on it as soon as it comes out!
