2017 Highlander design

The new 2017 Highlander design is bound to impress virtually any driver, with a new Direct Shift eight-speed automatic transmission, a 3.5-liter V6 engine, Stop and Start technology, standard Toyota Safety Sense, and a refreshed exterior.

According to Toyota, the Highlander has three-row seating to provide plenty of seating and tons of comfort. You can fit up to eight passengers with this new design, and there will be up to six trim levels to choose from. Owners can also opt for available all-wheel drive to increase performance and capabilities.

“Toyota will be debuting the significantly enhanced 2017 model year Highlander mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) at the upcoming New York International Auto Show,” said Toyota in a press release. “The popular Highlander will receive an array of new and updated equipment and technology, inside and out, including a new Direct Shift eight-speed automatic transmission.”

The 2017 Highlander design also comes with a tasteful and luxurious exterior, including exclusive colors like Celestial Silver Metallic, Walnut Pearl, and Salsa Red Pearl. Inside, the design comes with available brown leather and chrome trim as well. Nothing says comfort more than the new Highlander.

Obviously, the needs of one family can vary greatly from the needs of another. That is why there is never a one-size-fits-all perfect family car. To help families of all shapes and sizes find the best car for them, each year Kelley Blue Book creates a list of the 15 Best Family Cars.

For 2015, three Toyota models were named Best Family Cars, including the 2015 Toyota Camry, 2015 Highlander, and 2015 Sienna.

For smaller families with only one or two children, the Toyota Camry may be the ideal choice. With the 2015 model, families can enjoy the Camry’s bold new design along with a comfortable interior and improved driving performance. And, with its strong reputation for reliability and high resale value, families won’t be left stranded.

If three rows of seating is what your family needs, Kelley Blue Book recommends the Toyota Highlander. This 3-row crossover stands above the crowded competition with its ideal size and seating layout for up to eight passengers. With the pop-out conversation mirror, Mom and Dad can always keep an eye on what’s going on in the backseat.

Nothing can beat a minivan when it comes to the perfect family hauler and the Toyota Sienna is one of the best. The Sienna is still the only minivan on the market to offer all-wheel drive, making it the ideal choice for families who have to battle wintery weather. It has a variety of seating configurations for seven or eight passengers and offers plenty of storage space and creature comforts, including Toyota’s Entune system, a wide-screen rear-seat entertainment system that can play two movies at once, and the Driver Easy Speak that allows parents to talk to the third-row passengers without yelling.

Which of these Toyota models is the ideal choice for your family? Can’t decide? Stop by Hurlbert Toyota and try them all on for size.

With gas prices falling, SUVs are becoming more and more popular. Right now, there are a ton of great mid-sized SUVs available to car customers, making that segment one of the most competitive categories in the industry these days. However, despite the many great options out there, when it comes to picking the best of the best, “there can be only one.” Appropriately enough, that exclusive title belongs to the 2015 Toyota Highlander, which was recently chosen by Kelley Blue Book as the KBB Best Buy mid-size SUV.

According to Torque News, the good people at Kelley Blue Book thought that the 2015 Highlander differentiated itself from other vehicles thanks to its “superb combination of contemporary charm and practical capability.” The respected automotive publication also praised the Highlander by saying that the “well-styled and well-sorted midsize SUV simply does the best job of seamlessly mixing and matching the things that count most into a single engaging package.”

In addition to this exciting endorsement, the 2015 Toyota Highlander was recently named a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. If you’d like to learn more about the safe and award-winning Highlander, stop by Hulbert Toyota today.

2015 CamryBy this stage in the game, it should come as little surprise that Toyota offers better value than any other brand on the block. Because we are a society that demands near-constant reaffirmation, Consumer Reports has stepped in to remind everyone that nobody does it quite as well as Toyota, honoring a number of vehicles in the current lineup in its 2014 Annual New Car Value Rankings.

Top among all vehicles was the 2015 Camry Hyrbid, which offers a profoundly satisfying combination of performance and efficiency and operates at an assumed cost of around 52 cents per mile—the lowest of any vehicle CR tested in 2014.

Third on the overall list was the standard Camry, confirming the namebadge as the absolute best overall value in automotive today, hybrid or non.

Speaking of hybrids, the Toyota Prius Four took the top ranking in the compact segment, which is almost a foregone conclusion when one considers the Prius’ status as hybrid innovator.

Rounding out the list for Toyota was the Highlander XLE, which was named the best value among midsized SUVs.

To see just what it is about Toyota cars and trucks that give you the most bang for your buck, stop in and test drive the vehicle of your choice today at Hurlbert Toyota.

2015 Toyota Highlander

“There can be only one”

That’s the only line people remember from the movie Highlander, but it doesn’t apply to the Toyota Highlander. Toyota just hired 300 more people in Indiana to help make more of them.

After investing $100 million in the Princeton, IN factory, the plant should be able to produce 30,000 more Highlanders.

Since production of the latest generation of Toyota Highlander began in December 2013, Toyota sold around 90,000 by the end of July. The plant in Indiana is the only one in North America that produces the Highlander, where it is sold or exported to Australia, New Zealand, or Eastern Europe.

Why is the Highlander so popular? The crossover SUV perfectly blends efficiency with comfort, safety, and interior space thanks to 20 city / 25 highway mpg* and an IIHS Top Safety Pick+. On the XLE and Limited trims, drivers will enjoy standard satellite navigation.

Test drive a Toyota Highlander at Hurlbert Toyota today to see why they’re so popular for yourself.
