With the crossover market on the rise and young families flocking to small SUVs, large sedans have been taking a hit. In response, Toyota unveiled the completely redesigned Avalon. A recent study showed that owners of the current generation of the Toyota Avalon have a median age of 66, and while age is just a number, automakers are concerned about making their vehicles appealing to all ages and establishing a new consumer base among young professionals.
Toyota is changing all of that with the 2019 Toyota Avalon. The redesign is obvious as soon as you see its lower, wider stance. It also comes with new performance options like a smooth, more powerful V6 engine, an adaptive variable suspension, and four different drive modes. There are even hybrid powertrain options on the lower three trim levels for more fuel-conscious drivers. The range-topping Touring trim offers even more sporty features, up to and including a fifth, more athletic Sport+ drive mode for owners who want an extra thrill.
The Toyota Avalon redesign doesn’t mean Toyota’s forgotten about its older audience, either. The more sporty, attractive 2019 Avalon design is also a way to say thank you to its loyal customers.
The 2019 Toyota Avalon will arrive in dealerships later this spring. To learn more, stop by Hurlbert Toyota or give us a call.
