After the sedan’s debut in 1955, the Toyota Crown has been a forerunner of many cars in Toyota’s lineup and is a much more seasoned veteran than most vehicles on the market. This year marks the sedan’s 60th anniversary of production, and in its honor, the company has given the Toyota Crown updates for the 2016 model year.
With the updates, Toyota wanted to focus on making the Crown more lively, fun, and stylish. Structurally, the company has engineered the new Crown to have better steering and handling, and the sedan comes with a new turbocharged engine for improved performance. The Crown’s color palette has grown as well, with a host of new color options for consumers to choose from.
The facelift also includes several technology updates with a suite of electronic safety features. Some of these features include adaptive cruise control mediated by radar, collision warnings and driver alerts, and a blindspot monitor.
The Toyota Crown updates were made not only in honor of the sedan’s 60th anniversary, but to continue providing Toyota’s consumer base with the highest quality cars possible, while minimizing potential accidents and improving the overall driving experience. Visit Hurlbert Toyota for more!
